Name that Fandom
It has come to our attention here in the Resistance that there is no agreed upon name for the star wars fandom. In a desperate attempt to rectify this we are polling you, loyal followers of the light and dark side to determine what we should be called
Book Review
So I just finished the Force Awakens novelization by Alan Dean Foster and Overall this was a fantastic Book! This book is officially cannon and one of the first new establishments in the New EU. Foster did a great job of portraying the story that we saw on the big screen for the first time just three months ago and giving us a taste of what to expect from the new EU. The book isn't terribly long, nor terribly expensive. Amazon has the hardcover version for $16.99 and the ebook $13.99, or shameless plug for a friend go to your locally owned bookstore and buy it there! Additionally, Foster added to the story detailing more of Princess-er General Leia Organa and the droids C-3PO and R2-D2. Sadly, no R2-D2 doesn't talk much more in the novel, but he/it/he plays a large role in the search for Luke. Also >SPOILER ALERT< We get to see more about Rey's possible heritage and why Kylo Ren reacts to her presence the way he does.
Trilogy
We didn't Buy Han Solo's Jacket
Harrison Ford sold the Han Solo jacket for a whoopin $191,000. And then he donated all the money to FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures. This is a cause close to the actor's heart as his twenty-one year old daughter was once a patient there and has not had a seizure since. Clearly this man is more than a character we have seen him portray. Additionally as a bonus for the new owner, Ford signed the jacket.
Sadly I am not the new owner, nor do I know the new owner. Well I will just have to keep my eyes on IfOnly for when they auction off the Millennium Falcon.

The Original Trilogy
A long time ago George Lucas wrote a script that was summarily scrapped, revised many times. Eventually this led to the creation of the Star Wars Universe. Due to lack of funding Lucas made only the fourth episode, which at the time was solely titled Star Wars, though later it was titled Star Wars; A New Hope, as he felt it was the best stand alone film. The film was very low budget, so many of the actors, extras, and set crew were personal friends with Lucas. Harrison Ford had been a carpenter on one of the sets when Lucas had initially met him. Years later, both are still Star Wars fans.
